About Me

I am predominantly a self taught artist.

At the tender age of 10 I received my initial art instruction and encouragement that impacted me for a lifetime.

I attended Parsons School of Design and The Art Student's League of NY. I subsequently spent my career in Finance/Health/ Technology.

I continue my love of art, painting, portraiture and beauty.

I started making Gift Boxes when I was needing a box to hold my Tea bags for easy access. The first box was the Lotus Flower in a medium size. I loved it so much I started to make more boxes to hold items I wanted easy access to but that could also serve as beautiful display boxes. Friends began to request boxes for their home and for gift giving . I now make boxes on request and for the public .

Studio Process

Quality, not quantity

I have made quality a habit. It’s not something that I just strive for – I live by this principle every day.

Each Box is hand sanded and stained, then a design is created on paper before painting the box. The boxes are then hand painted in either acrylic or oil paint. The painting is then sealed with an acrylic top coat . Finally the box receives a final sanding to ensure all edges exposed to touch are smooth to the touch.

Each Box is finished to be beautiful to sight and touch.
